Tejado Grove

A Closer Look

Mature coast live oaks shade Tejado Grove's cottages and townhomes in Santa Barbara's Oak Park neighborhood. California natives, drought-tolerant plants, and familiar local ornamentals provide flowering color beneath the established canopy.

Changing sun and shade call for plants suited to different exposures. Kitson also relocates plants that crowd paths and other hardscape, adjusting the planting while preserving a consistent garden character. Careful pruning keeps plants healthy and naturally shaped, maintaining the property's cottage-garden appearance without allowing growth to overwhelm the surrounding spaces.
