Our story

1969 — FOUNDED

Kitson is founded in Goleta with a single truck and a simple belief: a well-managed landscape is an asset, not an expense. The company's first clients were residential properties in Hope Ranch and Montecito.

Kitson Landscape Management has served the Central Coast since 1969. Here's how we got here — and what hasn't changed.

1990s–2010s — GROWTH & SPECIALIZATION

Kitson expands into HOA and commercial work, adds ISA Certified Arborists to staff, and builds a formal irrigation and water management practice. Becomes one of the first landscape firms in Santa Barbara County to adopt Integrated Pest Management.

Today — LEADING A NEW ERA

Kitson manages over 300 accounts across HOA, commercial, retail, and hospitality clients — including many of the Central Coast’s most prominent properties. A 100% battery-powered fleet, American Green Zone Alliance certification, and the largest team of Certified Green Gardeners in the region mark a new chapter of the same original mission.
