A Closer Look

At Tree Farm, Kitson works with the landscape committee and board to refine densely planted areas and establish a consistent plant palette around the community's Mediterranean-style buildings. Replacing plants that are not thriving and adjusting spacing help create a coherent landscape with color and interest throughout the year.

Irrigation is a particular focus. Compacted soil and excess moisture require careful management, so we are gradually replacing inline drip with individual emitters to better control watering across seasons and exposures. Our crews also hand-prune bougainvillea and salvia to preserve their natural shape, keep walkways clear of encroaching plants, and give close attention to the entrance monuments.
